Here goes…
Day 1:
The first few days are always the worst, not having a cup of coffee first thing in the morning is tough to eliminate. We started off the morning by having a fruit and protein shake. Snacks during the day consisted of cherries and a mix of raw veggies. Lunch today was a big salad and some sautéed zucchini and summer squash. Dinner is where we get a little more creative :)
We made portabella pizzas, even on a detox pizza is acceptable. While there may not have been any cheese or crust on the pizzas they did hit the spot. We are experiencing a few detox "side effects" today. The main ones being tiredness from not having caffeine. We've both had a on again off again headache as toxins are already starting to leave our body. The thing I like best about this detox though is, although I know I'm cleansing I never really feel starved. As long as I'm eating good food like raw veggies and fruit I can eat as much as I need to, to prevent hunger pains. So I can graze all day and still get the maximum benefits from the cleanse. |
